No! Despite the fabric’s ability to expand and contract, the combed cotton has been specifically engineered to remain completely opaque at all times.
Yes! Our patented treatment process fuses an organic mineral complex to the finest quality cotton fabric. This cutting-edge biotechnology works on a microscopic level as the mineral compounds actively inhibit growth of odour-causing bacteria by up to 86%.All without compromising skin health or heat regulation. See our tech page for more info.

Polyester contains many toxic chemicals, such as dyes, solvents and phthalates. But the main concern is PFAs (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), which recent studies have associated with numerous health risks, including:
- Birth defects
- Increased risk of miscarriage and infertility
- Abnormal thyroid
- Hormone disruption
- Weight gain
- Elevated cholesterol
- Inflammation of the liver
- Weakened immune systems
- Cancer
PFAS are toxic at extremely low levels (i.e. parts per quadrillion), posing significant risks to our health. Absorption also increases as the skin heats and sweats, such as during exercise.

Big sportswear brands often tout the use of recycled polyester, but this isn't a true solution. It still carries the same health risks as regular polyester, risks that are often downplayed or overlooked. While it helps reduce waste by repurposing plastic bottles and other materials, it remains just as toxic in terms of production and chemical composition.
While regular cotton doesn't contain the synthetic chemicals found in polyester, it's not an ideal activewear alternative. Regular cotton absorbs moisture, which can leave you feeling clammy and uncomfortable during exercise. Our minerally enhanced cotton however, offers the best of both: with sweat-wicking and other high-performance attributes but without the toxins. See our tech page for more info.
Dojo leggings are hypoallergenic and have a pH level of 5.5, aligning with the body’s natural microbiome. Unlike synthetic alternatives, this helps prevent skin irritation, making our leggings an excellent choice for those with eczema, dermatitis, and other inflammatory skin conditions.
While Dojo leggings are a much better alternative to regular activewear, they still contain 5% elastane to meet stretch requirements. Although elastane lacks the toxic chemicals like PFAs found in polyester, it's still an area we're working to improve on. We're currently exploring plant-based elastane innovations for future products.
